Those in the cold north, who were expected to see rampant growth in infections seem to have been spared.

California’s outbreaks have been particularly bad, however there is some improvement being seen. Similar patterns are visible in San Diego, Fresno, Riverside, and Orange County. Death rates in Riverside and Orange County are soaring.

The LA Times reports that over the last seven days, the state has averaged 27,087 cases per day (down 39.5% from two weeks ago. Controlling Covid 19 Infections

President Biden’s plan is to enforce usage of masks in public, strong quarantines of travelers, and free up funding for more Covid 19 vaccinations. Up in Canada, vaccinations have been slowed due to a lack of vaccines from Pfizer. The Canadian government chose to get its vaccine supply from Europe instead of US locations, and Pfizer Europe has stopped production.

The UK is suffering the same lack of vaccines and it is reorganizing its vaccination strategy. Astra Zeneca also announced a big reduction in vaccine deliveries which has sent the country into a bit of a panic.

That’s our look at the Covid 19 spread and vaccination delivery to date. Our success in recovery means cooperation from all of us to socially distance, wear masks, use indoor air purification systems and get a vaccination shot as soon as possible. Please be safe and courteous in 2021!
